Cane rats in conservation

You can have lots of fun with this ratty lesson! Cane Rats help to put an end to the hunting of bushmeat in the rainforests of Cameroon by giving families a source of protein and income - removing the need to hunt endangered species such as gorillas and monkeys. The link to the great little animation below can be used to explain the issues involved. The pdf file also includes some interesting fundraising activities if your class want to raise the amount it costs to provide a Cane Rat and training - £32.50 - see our gifts site link below to purchase this ‘gift’.
