There are Powerpoint presentations about our work, animations and many children’s stories (some are presented for kids on Cowforce.com). Rose’s story
Rose is an 11 year old from Rwanda
Rose is a young Rwandan girl who survived the 1994 genocide with her brother Fidele. Her story shows how new life and hope has come into their family since being given a cow and training in natural farming methods. You can meet Rose and find out about her day on Cowforce.com. There are also games that Rose plays included, the circle game and Bounceball. The .kmz file is a short Google Earth Tour showing where Rose lives (click on it if you have Google Earth, then click on the sub-folder and play.)

Janvier’s story
The story of an 18 year old genocide survivor from Rwanda.
Janvier’s story focuses on the importance of the manure from his cow and the bumper harvest of vegetables that comes from his healthy soils. He lives with his brothers and sisters as an orphan headed household.

Learn how a Ugandan boy is preparing for climate change
Using this fun game, case study and Powerpoint, you can help pupils to understand how climate change is already affecting families in African countries. Olinga from Uganda is an encouraging example of how using simple methods (some can be tried out in your school) and hard work can help people be more food secure for the future. At the same time, this resource will help pupils to think about their own use of energy and resources in the UK.

Fun animations that help to explain our work
These delightful, short animations, called ‘Four African Tales’ give an easy to follow explanation of some of Send a Cow’s work in Africa. They are ideal for use in an assembly and on an interactive whiteboard and they’re created to educate and bring a smile to children’s faces as they find out how we go about helping poor families get out of poverty.

The poster includes examples of how we work in three countries and has a map of Africa showing the countries that we work in, all with the theme of ‘Pass it on’ - a key part of why our work is so successful.

A fun DVD about Africa and Send a Cow
Our ‘Cabbages and Cowpats’ DVD has been produced for primary schools and group use. It features short films about children’s lives in Lesotho, African gardens and Send a Cow’s work in Africa. Helping Berna
Explores comparisons, basic needs and different ways to help people.
A collection of three lessons, an assembly and a fun classroom game, all written for the PSHE curriculum and Citizenship QCA Unit 5 - Living in a diverse world. These activities help pupils to understand what life is like for a Ugandan orphan, how it compares to their own lives and looks at different ways of helping people.
