Explores comparisons, basic needs and different ways to help people.

    Helping Berna

A collection of three lessons, an assembly and a fun classroom game, all written for the PSHE curriculum and Citizenship QCA Unit 5 - Living in a diverse world. These activities help pupils to understand what life is like for a Ugandan orphan, how it compares to their own lives and looks at different ways of helping people.

    Book a free speaker

If you would like to find out more about our work and help pupils learn about life in African countries, why not book a speaker to come and give a talk? We have ‘Ambassadors’ around the country who speak about Send a Cow - many of them have first-hand experience of our projects. They often use Powerpoint slides, DVDs and visual props, and are a great way of bringing our work to life in an assembly, workshop or lesson. So, to add to pupils’ learning or help with fundraising, call our bookings secretary, Jodie Sampson on (01531) 821751, or email Alternatively, download and print out the speaker booking form below.

The theme of the assembly incorporates the importance of healthy eating and drinking milk for children in the UK and links in well with QCA Unit 3A - Teeth and eating.
